Secondary Transportation Technology Teacher’s responsibilities:
The teacher for this position will have strong knowledge and skills related to the construction and operation of vehicle/craft systems, learning maintenance and repair techniques. Student projects may include the construction of a self-propelled vehicle or craft, engine service, tire service, electrical/battery service and proper body care of small engines and vehicles including but not limited to lawnmowers, ATV’s snowmobiles, boat motors and cars/trucks.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
An ability to deliver lessons in a variety of ways.
Possessing strong communication skills in English and Ojibway to teach students between the ages of 13 to 20.
To be able to work independently as well as part of a school team.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures as provided by a supervisor.
Having good computer knowledge/skills including emailing, Facebook, Microsoft office applications and learn other software as needed.
