The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province.
We are currently seeking to hire an applicant to provide domestic and childcare support in 2 homes in the area of Sandy Bay SK, one home requires 20 hours of support each week, the other requires 12 hours of one to one support to a youth. The position will included assisting the family with childcare and assisting supervising youth with challenging behaviors as well as various domestic duties (laundry, sweep, mop, dust, food preparation etc) as needed. Applicants must have a valid drivers license and their own transportation.
The successful applicant will be flexible in order to successfully meet the changing demands in the workplace. The chosen applicants will also be confident, self-motivated and an individual who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and who is courteous and attentive to detail. Experience working with children with special needs is considered an asset.
Minimum High School Diploma, Post secondary education is early childhood education is considered an asset.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with children, supervisors, and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
18 years of age or older
