Environmental Coordinator

Temporary Full-Time (Up to a maximum of 6 months)

Explore this exciting temporary full-time job opportunity to work with the Engineering Team. The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for working with staff in various municipal departments, other external agencies, representatives of senior levels of government, community groups, and members of the public in order to establish and implement realistic objectives and standards necessary for the preservation of environmental quality throughout the District of Squamish. The Environmental Coordinator exercises sound knowledge of environmental legislation in performing assigned duties.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in biology, ecology or environmental studies and 3 to 5 years’ experience in the environmental control field in the private it municipal sector. The candidate will also be registered, or have the ability to become registered, with the Association of Registered Professional Biologists of British Columbia.
